| Del Close was the driving force behind improvisational comedy in Chicago for over 30 years influencing Bill Murray, Tina Fey, Mike Myers, John Belushi, Chris Farley and the Upright Citizens Brigade to name a few. After Del's passing in 1999, the UCB started the Del Close Marathon to celebrate their mentor and keep alive his name and teachings for future generations. |
| Over 150 Shows Over 1 Weekend! |
| From 4:30pm on Friday to after midnight on Sunday, there will be improv non-stop at the UCB Theatre. Groups from New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, Chapel Hill, Austin, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, St. Louis and Toronto, will peform on one of three stages. | Weekend Passes! |
| Weekend Passes will cost $20 and are only sold at the door. You cannot make reservations for most of the marathon. Just come to one of the venues, buy a $20 pass and see as much improv as you want over the weekend. |
| Reserved Tickets |
| Reserved tickets are available for many of the prime time shows at the Abingdon 1 Theatre and ASSSSCAT. For these shows you can reserve your tickets and pay for them on line. If there are seats available at showtime, those with passes will be admitted on a standby basis. |

Performer Checklist July 13, 2005 |
Are you a performer at this year's Del Close Marathon? If so, here is a checklist of things that you should do before you get here next weekend.
- Performer Email: Make sure everyone in your group got a copy of the performer packet email that was sent out on Monday. If you didn't get a copy, you can find one here.
- Street Ritual: Send Anthony an email to get into the Street Ritual (anthony@ucbt.net).
- Prepaid Performer Passes: As a performer, you can buy a prepaid discount pass for the marathon.
- Cast List: Make sure the cast list for your show is correct!
- Reserve Tickets: Your pass gets you into almost everything, but we have prepaid reserve tickets set aside for a few shows at the Abingdon Theatre and for ASSSSCAT. To buy these reserve tickets, go to our main website.
- Your VIPs: If you have anyone special coming to see your show at the main venue, you can set aside some seats for them. Read the email and send your list to Eliza.
- Sleep Now: You won't be sleeping much then.
