7TH ANNUAL DEL CLOSE MARATHON - PERFORMER PACKET

Here is (nearly) everything you need to know about the Del Close Marathon.
Please make sure everyone in your group gets a copy of this.

WEBSITE:
----------------------------------------
If you want to make changes to your show description, cast list, email
dcm@ucbt.net.

IMPORTANT!! VERIFY YOUR SHOW TIMES:
-----------------------------------
There was a bug on the site which we think has been corrected, make sure you
check to make sure you know the time(s) of your shows.

ALL PERFORMERS SHOULD BE A PART OF THE STREET RITUAL:
-----------------------------------------------------
We'll be doing the Street Ritual to open the Del Close Marathon again this year.
We'll take over NYC from Tompkin's Square Park in the East Village to The UCB
Theatre on 26th & 8th by performing the biggest Harold Opening in History (by
which I mean, bigger than last year's).

How it will work:

The first group will be at Tompkins Square Park and will spread out along the
park.

At 4:30pm, one of the members of the group will get a suggestion from a person
on the street. The group will use that suggestion as the beginning of a
word-association game they will continue as they walk towards the next group.
As they reach the next group, they will hand-over the game to that group.

The process will be repeated and each group will join a new group and walk to
the theatre en masse all the while promoting the marathon (handing out flyers,
holding signs, whatever ideas you have). Feel free to include people on the
street in the game as well!

The mob will arrive at the UCB Theatre at 6pm and tell the suggestion (whatever
it has become during the journey) to the opening group, who will use it as their
suggestion for the first show of the marathon.

Every group will be given a place to meet. We will have flyers to promote the
marathon so that groups can give them out while promoting the weekend.

PLEASE EMAIL anthony@ucbt.net with the name of your
group and I will assign you a block in NYC. Hopefully we can have an enormous
NYC-Interactive Harold opening to kick off what will be an amazing weekend!
